Earth week!

Don’t forget Earth week is going on this week!  Make plans to attend an event.  Tomorrow night is a live Web cast, “National Wildlife Campus Chill-Out,” beginning at 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 16 in Porter Hall room 130 (Science and Mathematics Building).  Attendance is free and open to the public.  For a complete listing of all the events going on, check here.

Also, I found a great post here,  about the real reasons we should change our whole system of living.  Brave New Leaf is a great read!

Turn it off!

We all know about turning off lights that aren’t in use but that cell phone charger you always have plugged in, that VCR/DVD player that is always on - green light glowing in the night - even the TV! And that computer you never shut down…they are all culprits in the nonstop energy use and drain on your bank account.

Unplug! Get a surge protector strip with an on/off switch, and turn it off when you leave your home or office.
